  Dear Members,
  The deadline for the Spring BBQ and The Nite At The Races is approaching fast (Sunday, May 13th). At this time, we do not have enough people attending to hold this event. In order to make this event work, we need people to sponsor a horse and to date we have only 19 sold out of 120 and at this time last year we had over 80 horses sold and around over 100 people signed up. If you are going to attend, please get your forms to Lauren by Sunday and if you have mailed them, she has to receive them no later than Monday, because we will be making a final decision on Monday evening as to whether or not this event will take place and this includes the BBQ portion because we have to order food and we cannot do that without a proper head count. Many of you have asked whether or not you can use your event tickets for this event, the answer is yes you can for the BBQ and your entrance into the Races, but you cannot use them for sponsoring a horse.
  THE GOOD NEWS! THE DVD ARRIVED YESTERDAY AND I HAVE TESTED THE DISK AND ALL 12 RACES WORKED! SO WE WILL NOT HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WE HAD LAST YEAR!
  If we want this event to take place, please get your forms in this weekend, I will be at the club and we have extra forms at the club if you do not have the one sent to you.

About Us

The Bush River Yacht Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1939. We are located on the beautiful Bush River in Harford County, Maryland, just minutes from Baltimore, and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. The Bush River is a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, slightly north of Poole's Island on the Western Shore.

Bush River Yacht Club is a Charter Member of the Yacht Clubs of Maryland and a Founding Member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association. We also have a Chapter of the International Order of the Blue Gavel, which is a world-wide organization of over 4000 Past Commodores of qualified yacht clubs.
